Question 1

Will the AI make things up or exaggerate my experience?

Accepted Answer

It is built not to. TAILOR writes only from the resumes and career docs you upload. It can describe your work in the job's language, for example naming a skill your experience clearly shows, but it should not add roles, employers, or achievements you don't have. Code then checks your dates, employers and years against your documents, a check removes job keywords they don't support, and the resume page shows the source behind each line. That check is automated and does not catch everything, so read each resume before you send it.

Question 2

How is my data protected?

Accepted Answer

Your data is private to your account, and access to it is restricted to you. It is encrypted in transit and stored with our database provider, which encrypts it at rest. We don't sell your data. We share it only with the service providers that run TAILOR, such as hosting, database, payments, email, the AI models that write your resume, error monitoring, and ad measurement, and each one is named in our privacy policy. You can delete your account and your data from your settings.

Question 3

Why should I use this instead of just editing my resume manually?

Accepted Answer

Here's the math: tailoring manually takes ~30 minutes per application. At 20 applications a week, that's 10 hours just on resumes. TAILOR generates each one in about a minute, and it keeps working if you leave the page. Your time goes to reviewing resumes written from your real experience instead of rewriting them.

Question 4

Is the ATS score actually reliable?

Accepted Answer

The score measures how well your resume matches this job description: the keywords, skills, and phrases the posting asks for, as your resume prints them. Similar wording is shown as a hint but does not count. Employers use many different applicant tracking systems and none of them publishes how it scores, so no tool can predict a specific employer's result. Use the score to see what the resume covers and what it's missing.

Question 5

I was recently laid off. Is this really built for my situation?

Accepted Answer

Yes. TAILOR was designed with laid-off professionals in mind. Upload all your old resumes, work docs, performance reviews, even recommendation letters. One career profile, unlimited resume versions: Product Manager today, Program Manager tomorrow, Technical PM the day after. No re-entering info, no rewriting from scratch each time.

Question 6

Can I cancel anytime? What's the refund policy?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can cancel at any time from your account settings, and you keep access until the end of your billing period. If you want your money back, contact support and ask for a refund. We refund your latest charge in full, no reason needed, and cancel your subscription.

Question 7

What formats can I download my resume in?

Accepted Answer

You can download your tailored resume as a PDF (optimized for ATS and easy to read) or as a Word file if you want to make more edits. Single-column templates are available and are the safest choice for applicant tracking systems.

Question 8

Does this work for my industry?

Accepted Answer

TAILOR works across industries: tech, product, finance, marketing, consulting, operations, healthcare, engineering, and more. Because it's grounded in your actual experience and the specific job description, it adapts to different titles and functions. No templates, no one-size-fits-all output.

Question 9

How is this different from using ChatGPT to rewrite my resume?

Accepted Answer

ChatGPT is a general assistant: you supply your history and the prompts, and it can fill gaps with details you never gave it. TAILOR builds a lasting career profile from all your documents. Paste a job description and get a tailored resume in about a minute. Code checks your dates, employers and years against your documents, a check removes job keywords they don't support, and the resume page shows the source behind each line. No prompts to write, no starting over.

Question 10

What can I actually do on the free plan?

Accepted Answer

The free plan includes 5 tailored resume generations per month, access to the resume builder, and the ability to upload up to 30 career documents. You can use the free plan with no credit card. Standard is $11.99 a month or $24.99 every 3 months, and starts with a 7-day trial (card required).

Question 11

Do you guarantee I'll get more interviews?

Accepted Answer

No. No honest tool can guarantee interviews. What TAILOR does is make each resume match the job's requirements using experience you already have, which is what automated filters and recruiters look for. You can start on the free tier and upgrade when you're ready.

Question 12

How fast is the resume generation, really?

Accepted Answer

About a minute. That includes reading the job description, matching it against your entire career profile, rewriting relevant bullet points, checking them against your documents, and formatting everything. It keeps running if you leave the page. Compare that to 30+ minutes doing it manually.
